Mojang held a Minecraft Live presentation and talked about the future of the cubic sandbox. They plan to add a mob and other content to the game.
A new biome, "Sulfur Caves," will appear in Minecraft, where players will see "warm" colors (red and yellow).
The cave is very different from others, as its surface is "three-dimensional": pieces of different blocks transition into each other, there are pools of water in the center, and sulfur along the edges.
You shouldn't swim in the local "pools": potent sulfur reacts with water and forms bubbles that burst on the surface and release poisonous gas.
"Sulfur" is not the only new block; the authors of Minecraft will also add "Cinnabar."
The "sulfur caves" biome will be home to the new mob, the "Sulfur Cube."
This mob is capable of absorbing blocks and changing its properties. For example, if the mob absorbs a block of wool, it will be able to float in the air like an inflated balloon, and if it absorbs an ice block, it will start to slide.
The Minecraft developers have not yet announced the release date for the update with the new biome, mob, and block.
