Marvel Rivals is not slowing down, and the creators want to attract a new group of players. The developers have confirmed that they are working on a version for Nintendo Switch 2.
The confirmation came from Danny Koo, who in a conversation with IGN directly admitted that the team is working on a new edition, and when everything is ready, they will announce the details:
We are working on it, and when we have news, we will definitely announce it… We will do it.
For NetEase, this could be a very logical step. Marvel Rivals has proven to be a successful project, and the hero-shooter formula has allowed the authors to effectively use well-known Marvel characters, maintaining interest with new heroes and seasons. A version for Nintendo Switch 2 could expand the game's reach and strengthen the community.
At the same time, the developers made it clear that the situation is different with the mobile version. According to Koo, the current form of the game is simply not suitable for touch screens, and a possible project for smartphones would have to be a completely different product.
At the moment, the premiere date or release window has not been announced, but the announcement itself is clear: Marvel Rivals will be released on Nintendo Switch 2. The franchise is currently available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X.
