Saros, releasing on April 30, will be one of the recommended exclusives for PS5 owners and fans of challenging action "roguelikes." Journalists from IGN, GameSpot, and VGC agree: the project could contend for the title of Game of the Year. Players can expect not only a challenge but also significant character progression. Risk in battles with aggressive enemies will be rewarded with valuable gear and unique weapon types.
The developers have taken community feedback into account. An important innovation is the save system. Deputy Design Director Mitya Roskarich explained to IGN:
In Returnal, I always had to delete progress to start over. Now we have several slots available from the start, so you can have multiple playthroughs at the same time. This was extremely important for us. I know life can be busy, so being able to put down the controller and resume the game at any time is a key part of this experience.
Visually, Saros combines neoclassicism with Italian futurism of the 1920s. Despite the abundance of particles, the game will provide a stable 60 FPS on PS5.
