The publishing house "Fabrika Igr" announced that it will release a strategic board horror game about fishing "Deep Regrets" for 1–5 people in Russian.
Pre-order for the game will open on March 30, 2026. This is not a localization from "Fabrika Igr", so the print run will be limited, but the publishing house will immediately bring the project along with the first small addition. A set including the game and the add-on can be purchased for 3890 rubles.
In this board game, participants have to pull strange and sometimes scary things out of the ocean, eat all sorts of nasty things and decide whether to continue fishing or return to the harbor to sell the catch and purchase improvements (plus they will have to think about how much they want to drive the whole world crazy).
The gameplay is built around choosing from a grid of nine stacks of cards at different depths with different values on the back. Players flip cards to see if they have the strength to catch the open prey. Cubes are spent for fishing, which are updated at the beginning of each round.
Many cards with the image of fish activate special effects when opened — for example, they increase the level of madness in the world. This reduces the value of ordinary fish and increases the demand for horrors.
Each time they come across something disgusting or crazy, the fishermen receive cards of regret. At the end of the game, the player with the most of them will lose a significant portion of points.
