The creators of the diabloid Titan Quest II have presented a diary dedicated to the development of the upcoming update.
The mechanic from the original game will soon return to TQ II — the ability to summon creatures (Summons):
Auras and most summons are now considered "supported" skills that reserve some energy. This means that you no longer need to keep them on the skill panel — space will be freed up for other abilities. If your summoned creatures are destroyed, they will be re-summoned automatically. You will have to carefully consider the build in order to either benefit from the energy reservation mechanic, or invest in increasing its supply to allow yourself more active abilities.
The developers of Titan Quest II have published a couple of examples of how the mechanics work:
The authors of Titan Quest II also introduced a new type of item, "Talismans." Mages will be able to use them instead of shields.
In the April update, the developers of Titan Quest II will rework "almost all" epic items.
