The developers of the truck driver simulators Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator have been holding various cargo delivery events in the games for many years. To participate in them, you need to register a World of Trucks account.
Some players didn't like that the rewards for events couldn't be obtained within the game itself: you need to go to the WoT website, and then transfer them to your Steam account.
The developers from SCS Software have heard the feedback and announced major changes to the event system.
The creators of Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator have announced the suspension of World of Trucks events.
They plan to transfer functions that are currently available on the WoT website (receiving rewards, etc.) to the game itself:
This break is an important step for us. To improve the event system, we need to invest time in refining the basic systems and infrastructure that support them. This means reworking how events work "behind the scenes" and how they are perceived in the game. As part of this process, we want to move much more of the event elements directly into the game itself. This includes the ability to view and receive rewards, earn and see achievements, and track event progress and milestones achieved by the community — all directly within the game.
