From this data, it follows that the costs of payments to employees from March 2019 to March 2025 alone amounted to about 1.6 billion pounds, which is comparable to $2.1 billion. The calculation concerns only the British division and does not include the expenses of other Rockstar studios around the world. As a result, observers believe that the total budget of the game may approach $3 billion.
If the estimates are correct, GTA VI will be the most expensive game in history. At the same time, we are only talking about production, but the marketing costs from Rockstar and Take-Two will certainly be gigantic. The final bill for the creation and promotion of the new part of the franchise may be even higher.
