Nexon and Blizzard are joining forces: the Korean company will take over publishing and operational management of Overwatch in the local market. Blizzard will still lead the development, which guarantees global coverage of updates, but the project will have a new publisher in Korea.

This collaboration, combining the global creative vision and development leadership of the Overwatch team at Blizzard with Nexon's leading expertise in game service management, PC gaming ecosystem, and community management in Korea.
Through this collaboration, both companies aim to significantly enhance the Overwatch PC experience for the Korean community by providing expanded Korean-themed content and community programs, as well as expanding opportunities for players to engage with the game and each other in new ways.
The agreement only applies to the PC version of Overwatch (not on Steam) in this region. More local content, improved localization, and stronger partnerships are promised.
