It has been 9 years since the release of NieR: Automata, the second part of the cycle that became a spin-off of the Drakengard franchise. Until recently, there was little to indicate that Yoko Taro was preparing a new chapter, especially since he is busy working on a fresh "Evangelion". However, now there is a ray of hope.
The official brand profile published a post with a short but concise video. It turned out that Yoko Taro, in addition to the script for the new version of the cult anime, is preparing NieR: Cosmic Horror.
It is currently unclear whether this will be a full-fledged game or another project expanding the franchise, but the author has definitely made fans' hearts beat faster. While some are happy about the return of the series, others are skeptical: April 1 has already arrived in Japan, and the announcement may be a prank. Nevertheless, the level of anticipation in the community is off the charts.
