The creators of the strategy game Stormgate have announced that the game's servers will be shut down at the end of April. However, this is not a decision made by Frost Giant Studios itself.
The developers explained that its partner Hathora was bought by an AI company and they are now shutting down the servers.
The authors of Stormgate announced a patch with an offline mode that will allow players to continue the adventure. However, online modes will not be available yet.
Frost Giant Studios "hopes" to bring back online with a future patch. Some players doubt that this will happen — the game's online presence on Steam is within 30-40 users (the game is free-to-play).
