This is an important step, as the Pikmin series has never been as popular as the publisher's main hits. Nevertheless, Miyamoto has for years considered it one of the most important projects in his career and consistently increases brand awareness.

Pikmin is a real-time strategy series that started in 2001. Pikmin 4 became the most successful release in the history of the franchise. Miyamoto's statement indicates the direction of development: Pikmin should become a brand that goes far beyond video games, including films and other media projects of the company.
