Crimson Desert sales have reached 4 million copies and are steadily approaching 5 million, as recently confirmed by Pearl Abyss.
According to Alinea Analytics, even before the official release, the project generated over $20 million in revenue from pre-orders alone. Now, the firm claims that total revenue across all platforms has exceeded $200 million. Moreover, the PS5 version appears to be leading the list, bringing in nearly $75 million.
Analysts have also identified an overlap in audience with another major open-world action game – Dragon’s Dogma 2. It is reported that 38% of Crimson Desert players on PS5 have also launched the role-playing game from Capcom. Other popular projects among the audience include Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
