In early April, Capcom released the first three installments of Resident Evil on Steam. These original games with various improvements were previously available on PC via GOG.
Players noticed that the original Resident Evil titles are written in capital letters with the year of release in parentheses:
- Resident Evil (1996)
- Resident Evil 2 (1998)
- Resident Evil 3 Nemesis (1999)
It seems that Capcom has learned from the 2022 scandal. Back then, fans criticized the company because shortly before the release of the Resident Evil 4 remake, the name of the old version was changed to "resident evil 4 (2005)" (written in lowercase).
