The success of Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 surprised many, but not the creator of Baldur's Gate 3.

Alena Baranova, who led the process of working with the actors, immediately saw the potential of the project and even made a bet.

During Emerald City Comic Con 2026, she said:

I knew [that the game would be successful]. In fact, I made a bet with Jack from the publisher Kepler Interactive team that they would sell a million copies in the first week. I made a bet, and the prize was 33 baguettes. Jack, where are my baguettes?
