JazzInc Dioramas and Factory Entertainment unexpectedly remembered the fans of the "Knight Rider" series, in which actor David Hasselhoff rode a car named "KITT," equipped with artificial intelligence, and fought criminals.
It has opened pre-orders for a limited edition model of this car in 1/6 scale. You can buy it for $2038 (163,376 rubles). 500 copies are signed by David Hasselhoff, and another 500 by William Daniels (the voice of "KITT").
The collectible item is based on a real car. The original "KITT" used in filming underwent professional 3D scanning to capture accurate proportions and geometry. The development takes into account the external body with the unique nose design by Michael Scheffe, the dashboard as it was on the screen, the seats, textures, and authentic trim elements.
The model retains the original panel layout, animated scanner lighting with an authentic afterglow effect, instrument lighting corresponding to the series, functioning cockpit electronics, "KITT" voice samples and sound effects, as well as working displays in the cabin.
In addition, there are triple fog lights hidden behind the radiator grille, retractable headlights with a working mechanism, the original tow bar and underbody protection plate, era-appropriate wheels and tires with detailing, and a remote control function (referring to controlling the model's electronics remotely).
The "KITT" is 82 cm long, 31 cm wide, 21 cm high, and weighs 14 kg. Presumably, pre-order customers will receive the model in 2027.
