Former Bethesda Lead Character Artist Dennis Mejillones spoke with Kiwi Talkz and talked about a specific problem Todd Howard faced.
According to Mejillones, there were a lot of sycophants around Howard. The artist himself spoke out in moments when he "felt things were serious":
He's an amazing person. But is he perfect? - No. Does he always make perfect decisions? - No. I can't even count how many times I've told Todd something like, "Hey, dude, that's not a very good idea. That's bad. Don't do that." Or, conversely, I preferred to remain silent, and in my head there was a thought: "Hmm, I don't think this is a particularly good decision." But usually, if I felt things were serious, I still voiced my opinion.
Dennis explained that many people were simply afraid to say "no" to Todd Howard. The artist believes that this attitude ultimately harmed the developer.
However, Dennis Mejillones has not worked at Bethesda since 2021 - since then, the situation at Bethesda may have changed.
