Deadlock is currently being tested in a semi-closed mode, but some are already trying to monetize interest in the game. Mods are being released for the project, and there are entrepreneurs who are trying to make money from their sale.
GigWhat started selling the Mystic North mod-skin for $20 for the Warden. After criticism, the modder decided to change the pricing policy: he lowered the price to $10 and promised to issue refunds to those who had already managed to buy it.
Deadlock does not have official mod support, i.e. only the buyer will see this skin, and everyone else will see the standard model.
Some players consider it "insane" to charge for modifications to someone else's game.
