Board Zeppelin Publishing has announced that it is going to localize the board game Wyrmhunt. This is a cooperative card project in a fantasy setting for 1–4 people, in which participants will turn into heroes from the legendary hunter's guild.
Players will have to experience dangerous adventures, see tactical battles and make important decisions. In spirit, Wyrmhunt relies on the aesthetics and atmosphere of Japanese role-playing games of the 90s.
This is not an abstract euro-puzzle and not a classic dungeon crawler with many plastic miniatures, but a card adventure with a JRPG mood, where hero development, teamwork and turn-based battles are important.
The authors cite Lufia, Breath of Fire and Final Fantasy as the main sources of inspiration. Wyrmhunt is in an active stage of development, so Board Zeppelin will not publish it immediately, but the game will appear in Russia simultaneously with the world edition, which is scheduled for release next year.
The board game also has a page on the Gamefound crowdfunding platform, where pre-orders for the English and German versions of Wyrmhunt will open in the future.
