Screen Burn studio has confirmed that Anthony Scott Burns, known as Pilotpriest, is responsible for the music. The first track, Home, has already appeared online, accompanied by atmospheric shots of the Scottish settlement of St. Amalia, where the story unfolds.
The audio aspect looks particularly strong: Byron Bullock, who previously worked on Alien: Isolation, has joined the team. This gives hope for a high level of tension, built on silence and disturbing environmental sounds.
It is reported that the collaboration is happening naturally – Burns noted that many creative decisions are made intuitively, and the team's goal is to create emotionally honest and frightening work.
The composer calls the project one of the most important in his career. The music in Townfall will be a bold experiment, but will retain the spirit of the series. The soundtrack will emphasize the personal tragedy of the hero Simon Ordell, who returns to St. Amalia to deal with the past and uncover the dark secrets that connect him to this place.
