This is a new episode in the dark universe of Blizzard Entertainment with its own story, developing well-known events. Players have to stop Mephisto himself, who is preparing another strike against Sanctuary.
IGN has published almost 12 minutes of gameplay showing the start of the expansion: the first locations, atmosphere, and direction of the new story. The material demonstrates the Paladin, previously available in pre-orders, and creates intrigue before the release.
Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred will also add the Warlock, which will change the meta and attract the attention of players. Previous experiments with this class in Diablo II: Resurrected showed that Blizzard knows how to develop new character archetypes in an interesting way.
