Recently, SquallyDaBeanz reminded about the large-scale project "Baldur's Gate 3: Act Two Expansion." He intends to expand the second act of the game by Larian Studios.
In September of last year, he postponed the launch to 2026. According to the modder, "things are still going well," but the release is unlikely to take place in the first half of this year.
SquallyDaBeanz said that he reworked significant sections of the modification and added unplanned novelties, such as additional NPCs and quests. This added a "huge amount of work" to the project.
The modder decided to set restrictions: "the few choices that players can make do not affect the rest of the game and are self-contained to the new location." For example, new characters will not appear in the third act.
