One of the notable features in Forza Horizon 6 will be Aftermarket Cars, tuned versions of cars with unique parts and body kits. They can be found in the open world and sometimes in festival races. The main feature is the low price.
Design Director Torben Ellert explained the idea:
It's a subtle hint in the spirit of "hey, try this car, take it to this event" – and I hope more people get to know these wonderful cars, because we place them in the open world and make them cheaper.
The system is related to exploration: the game has a "fog of war" that dissipates as you explore the map of Japan. A collection log has also appeared.
The new system is designed to clearly show where you have been and what you have seen. We have a rule for all Discover Japan content: if you find something, you can play it.
Ellert added:
Freedom is a key principle. We try not to force, but to encourage the player to try different things.
The game will be released on May 19 on Xbox Series X/S and PC, including Game Pass. The game features over 550 cars and extensive customization.
