According to experts, the game is no longer perceived as a pure arcade. The main progress is noticeable in steering wheel control. If Forza Horizon 5 was considered a game mainly designed for gamepad, then FH6, according to OverTake's impressions, is much better revealed with the steering wheel.
Although the accuracy of control is not ideal, I must immediately say that I like it much more than in FH5. The weight and characteristics of the cars look believable. The cars convincingly respond to the steering wheel. During the test, I drove faster and more accurately with the steering wheel than with the console controller.
At the same time, the force feedback system on the steering wheel still needs improvement, and the developers continue to improve it.
Among other changes are the radar in first-person mode, showing the positions of opponents (as in Forza Motorsport), as well as added tire wear.
Separately, journalists praise the redesigned animations of the driver's hands in the cockpit - the changes noticeably increase realism. The sound component of the game has also been improved.
The gameplay demonstration was recorded on Xbox Series X in the Preview version (30 fps mode was available). Visually, the game already makes a strong impression and has noticeably stepped forward compared to FH5.
