Recently, Crystalfall was released on PC in Steam in early access format.
The project is positioned as an online RPG in the hack and slash genre:
Take on the role of a criminal imprisoned in a dungeon by a powerful organization that rules the surrounding lands. Set out to explore a world devastated by the fall of a mysterious asteroid [...] Explore post-apocalyptic dungeons that will change with each new expedition, and achieve unprecedented power thanks to legendary treasures, an extensive talent tree, many paths to success, and skills that can be acquired throughout the game by progressing through procedurally generated skill trees.
Due to the "high influx of players," the game's servers crashed: many who wanted to jump into Crystalfall simply couldn't enter the game, and disconnections occurred.
The problem was compounded by a bug: the release version included an email binding stage, and it didn't work. The developers soon removed it and explained that it was not supposed to be in the game in the first place.
The situation with the problematic launch of Crystalfall affected the game's rating — in Steam, the reviews are "very negative" (only 18% positive).
