Former Head of Marketing at Bethesda, Pete Hines, in a recent interview shared not only memories of his work, but also his opinion about the famous developer.
Hines believes that Todd Howard
[...] is not the best programmer in the world. Perhaps not the best designer either. However, in my opinion, there is no one who understands all of this together better than Todd.
The ex-manager of Bethesda believes that Todd Howard understands how all this is interconnected and affects each other.
Pete Hines stated that he had never seen anyone like this in the industry:
Take a look at the industry. Who else does that? This was probably the most annoying thing for me when I was doing marketing and PR at Bethesda. If you want to criticize us, do it by comparing it to what others are doing. Who else in the world gives you the opportunity to just complete one task after another on the fly while you go where you want and do what you want?
