Recently, an Arc Raiders fan with the nickname bbashlin shared her story with the community. She said that the Embark Studios game helped save her marriage:
We've been together since 2017, married since 2023, we have one child together, another 10-year-old child from his past relationship, and now I'm pregnant and we're expecting our third child. My husband (he's 30) is the sole breadwinner in the family, he does everything possible and more, and we have everything we could wish for, but it's taken a toll on him.
In recent years, they have gradually drifted apart and "have been on the verge of breaking up many times," although neither of them wanted this. Everything changed after her husband decided to introduce her to Arc Raiders.
bbashlin said that thanks to Arc Raiders, the former ease returned to their communication:
One day he persuaded me to play Arc Raiders with him [...] and we started laughing together again, talking for real, not just solving everyday problems, joking and smiling at each other again. It's been almost a whole month since we've been 'hanging out' in the game together, and I feel like we have a future again.
The girl believes that Arc Raiders saved her marriage and now she "owes this game much more than she can express in words."
