After a series of leaks and insider reports, Microsoft is officially preparing to showcase the project and invites players to the Xbox First Look presentation. A full announcement is expected in the coming days.
The first information has already appeared on the Microsoft website. Metro 2039 is the fourth main installment in the series from 4A Games.
The new part will be a direct continuation of Metro Exodus, the events of which unfolded in 2035. The plot will continue the story of the heroes and expand the post-apocalyptic world of the series.
Microsoft notes: "Xbox has always been the home for this series." According to Windows Central, the game will receive Xbox Play Anywhere support, and after release, it will likely appear in Xbox Game Pass.
The publisher has once again failed to avoid a leak – the game's cover has been leaked online. It already shows the main character and sets the atmosphere of the project, but we will have to wait for a full presentation.
