The franchise has very dedicated fans.
Recently, a fan remake of the shooter Medal of Honor (1999) from PS1 was released on PC.
It is noted that all the game logic was developed from scratch. The main gameplay elements and enemies were taken from Medal of Honor: Allied Assault 2002 in order to "avoid using characters, animations and other objects with extremely low polygon counts."
The "Medal of Honor Retro Remake" mod-remake is distributed for free. It is available on ModDB, the project weighs just over 1 GB.
