Recently, blogger GrizzoUK, who showcases modifications for various games, received a "happy letter" from Capcom's lawyers.
They drew attention to the fact that the blogger was publishing videos about "adult mods" (with skins) for the company's games, such as Resident Evil:
We have become aware that our materials [characters, etc.] have been used to create modifications with adult content, and that related videos have been created and published on YouTube. Please note that such use is not permitted and violates our terms of service, as well as applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. To resolve this issue peacefully, we ask that you remove the videos listed in the appendix to this notice by April 21, 2026.
GrizzoUK decided to comply with Capcom's request and removed all the videos (around 1,000) and announced:
I am ceasing to publish videos about costume mods for Resident Evil. I will still continue to upload videos about Stellar Blade, Tomb Raider, and many other franchises. It's a shame that Capcom did this.
