Inspired by the warm reception of the game "Iron Rails of Lost Atlantica" from Russian users, the publishing house 4ies, also known as 4Games, decided to localize another board game about trains.
But this time the team is going to introduce players to a project called Cretaceous Rails, designed for fans of the Cretaceous period and time travel.
Participants will have to bring tourists from the future, build a railway and lay paths for trains and wagons through the jungle among dinosaurs to create the most amazing safari.
This tabletop Eurogame for 1–4 players with plastic miniatures raised $117,932 (8,830,121 rubles) on the Kickstarter platform. And then on the Gamefound crowdfunding platform, its second campaign, together with the Cretaceous Seas expansion, brought the developers $233,551 (17,487,058 rubles).
The 4ies publishing house plans to release not only the base game, but also expansions, as well as special bonuses for pre-order participants. The print run is 500 boxes (version with miniatures). On the BoardGameGeek portal, the game received 7.7 points out of 10, the Cretaceous Seas expansion — 9 / 10, the Cretaceous Skies expansion — 8.3 / 10.
