Even after 43 years, the Talisman board game continues to receive new content. It became known that on June 15, 2026, Avalon Hill will release the Crown of Blood expansion for the fifth edition of this project.
It will combine the world of the game with chilling gothic horror. Participants will turn into vampire hunters — Mina Harker or Professor Van Helsing from Bram Stoker's novel "Dracula."
Players will be able to embark on a dangerous journey, where new enemies, events, and magical items await them, reach Dracula's castle, and defeat the bloodthirsty count to win the game.
If you play without the "Dracula's Castle" overlay, you can use the famous Vampire King as a playable character, and the Fanged Toad as an antagonist. The expansion also introduces "Permanent Events" cards — a new mechanic that changes the gameplay.
The expansion kit contains three character cards, one Dracula reference card, 30 spell and adventure cards, one field overlay, four miniatures, and a rule book. You will be allowed to buy Crown of Blood for $19.99 (1521 rubles).
By the way, most likely, in the future this expansion will reach the digital version of Talisman: Digital 5th Edition, which is available on Steam.
