Indiana Jones and the Great Circle became a logical step for MachineGames after Wolfenstein – not because of the genre, but because of a common element: the Nazis are again the main adversaries on which the gameplay is built.

Creative Director Axel Torvenius, in a conversation before the BAFTA Games Awards, commented on whether the choice of theme was conscious after more than ten years of working on Wolfenstein. He did not give a direct answer, but called the project a "very natural choice" for the studio.

I think there is obviously a common enemy. There is a common thread in all the games we have made so far – it is a common adversary.
I don't know – it just so happened that with the legacy of the games we made before, we had such enemies, and it was very natural to find ourselves in the same space with Indiana Jones in terms of the main adversaries. I don't know if this is our destiny, but that's how it all turned out, at least for now.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has become one of the notable games of 2024. Despite the lack of a direct answer, the developers' words show that the studio continues to develop a familiar formula.
