Initial data from Steam shows strong results. The project could become another major success.
The information was shared by analyst Rhys Elliott from Alinea Analytics, after studying the game's pre-orders on Steam.
According to estimates, Forza Horizon 6 has already sold around 500,000 copies on Steam, although there is still a month until release. Considering the editions and regional prices, this is about $30 million in revenue. It is already the most successful installment in the series in terms of pre-orders on the platform. If the pace continues, the game may exceed 2 million copies sold in the first 24 hours after release.
And this is not the limit: the project still has several weeks of marketing acceleration, and interest continues to grow. The game is performing strongest in different regions. The USA remains a key market, but there is a noticeable increase in interest in other countries: China has become the second in terms of additions to the wishlist, and Japan shows increased interest thanks to the setting and culture.
Japan could play an important role. This is a long-awaited location for fans, but Xbox has limited positions there. Therefore, a lot will depend on the PS5 version, which will be released later and may expand the audience.
