Gaijin, which is known to many for War Thunder, has announced the upcoming closure of the Star Conflict project. This is an MMO action game in which players were invited to become pilots of space starships and participate in large-scale battles of star flotillas.

You can leave the station and travel through distant space colonies captured by an ancient alien race. Missions, the search for valuable items, crafting modules and ships, battles between players, pirates and aliens from deep space await you.
The creators of Star Conflict explained that they can no longer support and develop the project:
In recent years, it has become increasingly difficult for us to support and develop the game at the level it deserves. Technical limitations, rising infrastructure support costs, and a decline in active audience have made further development impossible. At the same time, we do not want to leave the game in a state of slow decline. It is important for us to honestly record the moment and give the project a worthy completion. We understand that this is heavy news, and that is why we are talking about it with you openly.
Star Conflict servers will continue to operate until October 10, 2026. Dozens of different add-ons are still being sold for the game, and monetization is scheduled to be disabled on June 1.
