On April 18, a video titled "First and Last Video on Metro 2039" was released, where editors Vitaly Kazunov and Mikhail Shkredov explained why this is the first and last content related to the new game by 4A Games.
"We have decided not to cover Metro 2039 in any way. This is our first and last video dedicated to this project."
The developers made political statements in the game's announcement that were unacceptable and discrediting.
To those bloggers who will participate in this – good luck. We are not here to fuel "holy wars." We are moving as far away from politics as possible, and that is why we are passing by Metro 2039. [..] Please, be simpler in the comments.
