Road to Vostok Becomes a Hit Without a Publisher: Author Reveals New Sales Milestone

The author of Road to Vostok previously stated that he had turned down lucrative offers to transfer the project to major publishers. This decision proved successful.

The developer has not only already earned well thanks to the support of players, but has also retained complete freedom in the development of his project. The game, which some call a "single-player Escape from Tarkov," was well received without the involvement of an external publisher. Antti Leinonen gained complete control over game design and continues to build the project as a combination of survival and first-person shooter.

Previously, Antti Leinonen wrote that the game had sold so well that the project's financial needs were secured "for many years." Now he has announced that over 200,000 copies have already been sold on Steam.

It can be said that players were attracted by the vision of the developer from Finland, as the reviews remain positive, with an average rating of 82%. The author once again emphasized that the project is fully funded thanks to the support of players.
