Another similar case ended with Sony's intervention. A game that tried to associate itself with Gran Turismo 7 was forced to change its name before its release on PlayStation.
We are talking about a project that is released on PC and other platforms as Gran Carismo – the similarity with the name of the original is obvious. Sony's lawyers intervened, and as a result, the game appeared in the PS Store under the name Grand Car Racing. At the same time, the quality of the project remains extremely low.
It is noteworthy that the change only affected PlayStation. In Steam and Nintendo eShop, the game is still available under its old name. As a result, the same project is sold under different names depending on the platform.
The situation reflects a broader problem. Sony has been fighting the influx of garbage games into the PS Store for months, removing thousands of weak projects and trying to improve the quality of the catalog. But such "inspirations" from large franchises continue to appear.
At the same time, the changes were not fully implemented: the game still contains images with the old logo.
