The creators of the online shooter Escape from Tarkov: Arena have introduced update 0.5.0.0. Its release was initially expected in the first quarter, but the launch was delayed due to the transition to a new engine.
EFT: Arena now runs on Unity 6, which should improve performance and overall stability. The developers noted that this unlocks "potential for further performance optimization and improvements to the game's graphics".
The second season has started in Escape from Tarkov: Arena — the BattlePass "Casus Belli" has appeared with more than 70 rewards, including:
- Saiga-12K "Redline" automatic shotgun with a unique design;
- New collimator sights and weapon modules;
- New tactical clothing and weapon camouflages;
- A full set of equipment: helmets, body armor, chest rigs, and armored rigs, including the new FORT "Gladiator-S" chest rig in various versions;
- Lega medals and "Echo Belli" cases for EFT: Arena.
From the "Echo Belli" cases (the local loot boxes), players will be able to obtain 18 special rewards.
The old "Podgon Refa I" case is no longer available for purchase with Battle Points.
Other changes and improvements:
- The ShootOut mode has returned, a 2v2 tournament format among 6 participating teams.
- A new Tactical Map, "Factory," has been added — you can earn dozens of rewards, including voice-over from guest commentator Tagilla (RU / EN) and clothing.
- New Weapon Tasks have been added.
- The balance of gameplay sounds has been reworked.
- A new chain of 46 in-game tasks has appeared, and achievements have been added.
- In-game daily and weekly tasks for the ShootOut mode have been added.
- The number of tasks completed only in one mode has been reduced. Now most tasks can be completed in two or three modes at once.
