At the beginning of April, Valve introduced an update to the Animgraph animation system for Counter-Strike 2, version 2. According to the developers, this made it possible to reduce the load on the CPU as well as on the network:

While working on the transition to the new technology, we also reworked all third-person animations, and in many cases adjusted them in response to player feedback.

Until recently, the new system was available as a beta branch on Steam, and now a full update for Counter-Strike 2 has been released.

The developers made "minor adjustments" to character model animations and also refined the overall logic of weapon-switching animations. In addition, they fixed a bug with the knife animation and an issue that caused Beretta (Elites) pistols not to fire in third-person view.

The Counter-Strike 2 developers also fixed a bug that allowed players to climb ladders silently at running speed by rapidly pressing movement keys.

In addition, they fixed an error that caused a crash during halftime when switching from the "defense" side (CT) to the "attack" side (T).
