Game Pass has become cheaper, but now Call of Duty will not be added to the subscription at launch

News 1

A week ago, Xbox's new head Asha Sharma mentioned potential changes to Game Pass in an internal letter to employees. Now Microsoft has announced a price reduction for the subscription.

A one-month Game Pass Ultimate subscription will cost $23 (previously $30). PC Game Pass has dropped in price to $14 (previously $16.5).

However, upcoming Call of Duty installments will not be added to the Game Pass catalog right at release — players will have to wait:

New Call of Duty installments will appear in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass during the following holiday season (roughly a year later), while existing games in the series already added to the library will remain available.

Microsoft acknowledges that it is impossible to please all players, but promises to study community feedback and respond:

Our players span a wide range of regions, preferences, and tastes, so there is no single model that would suit everyone. This change takes into account a large amount of feedback we have already received. We will continue to listen and learn.
