It is hard to believe, but 20 years have already passed since the release of Okami. To mark the occasion, Capcom and the game's director Hideki Kamiya have prepared a number of special initiatives.
To mark the anniversary of the 2006 game, a dedicated website was launched, which has become the center of the celebration. It features unique shikishi illustrations from the developers and messages from the community.
They also announced the release of new collectible merchandise for fans of the white wolf's adventures and revealed official symphony concerts featuring music from the game.
The main event was an open letter from Hideki Kamiya. He thanked players for their support throughout all these years and noted that it was the audience's enthusiasm that helped the franchise remain relevant and receive HD re-releases and additional projects.
At the end of his address, Kamiya reminded fans that he is currently fully focused on developing the official Okami sequel and invited them to celebrate the game's anniversary.
