11 bit studios plans to expand its presence in the industry. In the coming years, it will be hard to find a period without a new game from the creators of Frostpunk, This War of Mine, and The Alters.
The last few months have been difficult for the studio, but the team has already presented a recovery and development plan. Between 2026 and 2031, the developers intend to release 8 new projects. At the same time, the focus is being placed both on new ideas and on the development of existing series. The studio will also continue to operate as a publisher.
Among the current plans are two expansions for Frostpunk 2, a story expansion for The Alters, and the full release of Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault on all major platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2.
Some of the projects are already known, including the recently announced game Crop, but several titles have not yet been revealed. Some of them will expand existing franchises, including Frostpunk.
One of the key projects will be Frostpunk 1886. It is intended not only to reinterpret the first installment, but also to receive updates and new content that were not part of the original. A full-fledged new game in the Frostpunk universe is also in development, and it will differ noticeably from the previous installments.
A new version of This War of Mine on Unreal Engine is also planned. This is not just a graphics update — the project is being created as a reimagining for new players and an expanded experience for the existing audience.
