Recently, the PC store GOG, which distributes DRM-free games, announced the start of a new promotion. A giveaway for a project by Studio Chien d'Or has begun.
The Whispering Valley (or La vallee qui murmure) is positioned as a point & click game in the folk-horror genre (using elements of folklore, traditional tales, and legends to build the story).
Players are invited to immerse themselves in the "horrors of guilt and depression to uncover the village's darkest secret." The events unfold in Quebec, 1896:
Hidden in the lowlands of the valley, the village of Saint-Monique-Des-Monts hides a secret that weighs heavily on its residents. The village is abandoned. Those who remain can only wait. But there is something else tormenting the inhabitants. A shadow wanders the streets. Some have seen it, others have heard it. They have heard its whisper.
