In April, the creators of Honkai Star Rail introduced update 4.2 "And Everyone Laughed." The developers added new story content, technical improvements, and characters — Silver Wolf Lv. 999, Evanessa, and the Trailblazer (Path of Joy) appeared.
In addition, miHoYo (HoYoverse) made edits to the Russian localization. The developers clarified that these "fixes and improvements to the Russian-language text will not affect gameplay":
The texts of some story dialogues, readable items, plot summaries, sources and item descriptions, item descriptions, game modes, "Sherstyaki Telekom," Currency Wars, the Virtual Universe, the Database, loading screens, mission descriptions, status descriptions, system notifications, tutorials, and other text descriptions have been changed and improved.
Some other changes:
- The text describing the effects of the talent of the character Seele (The Hunt: Quantum), the technique of the character Firefly (Destruction: Fire), as well as the basic attack, skill, and ultimate of the character Temen (Memory: Ice) has been revised and improved.
- The text of the brief description of the Joy skill of the character Sparkle (Joy: Fire) has been revised and improved; an error was fixed due to which the text of the brief description of the ultimate of the character Tribbie (Harmony: Quantum) was incorrect.
- An error in the description of the effects of some Traces of the character Firefly (Destruction: Fire) has been fixed.
- The text describing the effect of Eidolon 4 of the character Welt (Nihility: Imaginary) has been revised and improved.
- The subtitle text of some voiced lines of the characters Trailblazer (Destruction: Physical) and Sparkle (Joy: Fire) has been revised and improved.
- The text of the character stories of Silver Wolf (Nihility: Quantum) has been revised and improved.
- The text of the Light Cone story "Fall of the Sky" (Destruction) has been revised and improved.
