Owlcat Games has announced the start of closed beta testing for the sci-fi action RPG The Expanse: Osiris Reborn. Access has been opened to those who became project "Founders" and own the Miller Pack or the Collector's Edition.

The developers said that this version includes the second mission in the game (it is available in full). In addition, players are offered:

  • 4 main character options (the current version does not yet include a character editor)
  • one companion — twin Jay, who will help the hero in combat;
  • 8 types of firearms
  • 9 abilities (you will need to equip the appropriate gadget to use these abilities in combat);
  • Zafar, who will "soon join your team";
  • One very important choice, but, "as is our custom, the universe will not tell you whether you did the right thing."

According to the studio's estimate, completing the current beta of The Expanse: Osiris Reborn will take from one to two hours — depending on how much time the player spends talking with various characters and exploring the area.

Gameplay recordings have already started appearing online. The combat system resembles the Mass Effect franchise. Different dialogue options tied to the character's skills are available.
