The Gamers Nexus editorial team in 2025 accused NVIDIA of making threats: the company could deprive the outlet of access to interviews with engineers if reviews did not align with its recommendations. Now, according to the editorial team, AMD is using similar tactics, having added Gamers Nexus to a "blacklist".
This kind of pressure tactic has long been known in the industry. After criticism, editorial teams stop receiving games and hardware for testing. This concerns AMD processors and graphics cards.
In a new video, Gamers Nexus describes AMD’s "anti-consumer actions" and claims that the company is trying to influence American politicians through donations. The editorial team also stated that AMD has been ignoring its questions for several months already, including the issue of driver support for Ryzen Z1 Extreme.
In addition to the lack of communication, the editorial team no longer receives AMD devices for tests. This applies to the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 processor; the outlet had to buy it on its own, so the review will be released later. The editorial team calls the $899 price tag "highway robbery".
Gamers Nexus notes that this is not an isolated case: after criticism, the editorial team has already been boycotted not only by AMD, but also by other manufacturers.
