In April, Ubisoft held a presentation for the remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag. The new version of the game was titled Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, and the developers are already accepting pre-orders, although not all players are rushing to place them.

A notice has appeared on the Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced Steam page that has become a red light for some PC gamers.

First, it includes the infamous DRM protection:

Third-party DRM: Denuvo Anti-tamper 5 a day - maximum number of devices

Second, Ubisoft's own services are used:

Requires additional registration: Ubisoft Account (can be linked to a Steam account)

Now dissatisfied individuals, such as Scyris, are announcing their refusal to buy Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced until Denuvo is removed:

It's a shame they put Denuvo in it; that means I can forget about my plans to buy the remake. I watched a recent video — the game looks great, and it could have been my first game in the Assassin’s Creed series, but unfortunately I do not support projects with Denuvo. Since Denuvo appeared, I have bought only two games with this DRM. The last three I passed on were Crimson Desert, RE9, and Pragmata, all worthy games, but they want to harm honest customers with consumer-unfriendly DRM, so I did not spend money on them. Thus, counting this game, Denuvo will save me from buying a fourth game already this year.

Some community members recalled that there is now a "hypervisor" crack, i.e. there is a high probability that the remake will be cracked on release day.

You can add Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced to your wishlist on Steam via the following link. The release is scheduled for July 9 on PC, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles.
