Crimson Desert broke after the update - an emergency patch 1.04.01 has been released with a control fix and more

Crimson Desert recently received the major update 1.04.00. Soon afterward, players began reporting problems, and the developers promptly prepared a small technical patch.

Hotfix 1.04.01 includes fixes for controls on PC and gamepads, and also resolves various errors that caused crashes, as well as some gameplay mechanics:

[Controller] The keys for changing the pet and horse name have been changed: L3/LS instead of R3/RS.
A bug has been fixed where some means of transportation did not appear in the quick slot and could not be summoned.
Preset switching options on consoles are now displayed the same way as on PC.
A bug has been fixed where pets consumed wood or ore gathered using a lumbering axe or pickaxe.
[Keyboard/Mouse] A bug has been fixed where, in certain situations, it was impossible to place furniture in the house.
Intermittent game crashes during dyeing or customization have been fixed.
A bug has been fixed where stamina was restored if the player drew or sheathed a weapon while sprinting.

[Damiana] A bug has been fixed where the skill "Reflection of Light" was canceled in a safe zone.
[Cliff] A bug has been fixed where flight speed when using the skill "Crow's Air Strike" became lower than normal.
[Unka/Damiana] A bug has been fixed where, when using ranged weapons during a boss battle, it was impossible to select any target other than the boss.
A bug has been fixed where a hit effect was displayed while wearing a mask even when striking non-attackable NPCs.
A bug has been fixed where the game would crash when a customized character fought a certain boss.

A bug was also fixed where, with a full inventory and when trying to learn an already learned skill through "Watch and Learn" while consuming an Abyss artifact, the game would return to the title screen.

If, with a full inventory and while attempting to learn an already obtained skill through "Watch and Learn," you did not receive the Abyss artifact back, then after resetting all attributes you will be able to obtain this artifact.
