The creators of Diablo IV are preparing for the imminent release of update 3.0.1. Blizzard Entertainment traditionally publishes a full description of the upcoming patch in advance. It includes various technical fixes related to mobs, graphics, and more.

Some changes and improvements in patch 3.0.1:

  • Monsters with the "Shield" property are now more visible, and the invulnerability effect immediately wears off monsters when their sources are killed.
  • Monsters with the "Retribution" property are now more visible, and the damage reflected by them is now represented as a projectile.
  • The quality of all loot obtained in the Tower has been increased.
  • The Tower has been renamed to Master's Tower.
  • A "Chromatic Aberration" setting has been added to the accessibility section.

When inlaid into weapons, all gems provide new multiplicative damage bonuses, for example:

  •  Amethyst: damage over time — dark magic damage
  • Diamond: powerful skill damage — all damage dealt
  • Emerald: critical damage — poison damage
  • Ruby: overpowering damage — fire and Holy damage
  • Skull: health regeneration on kill — physical damage
  • Fixed an issue where Marevit was not awarded for defeating eligible enemies in Nightmare Dungeons.
  • Fixed an issue where Horadric Portals would appear upon completing a Horadric Vault run as part of a group.
  • Fixed an issue where some items available from the vendor did not have a character level requirement.
  • Fixed various issues where item appearances were not properly unlocked when salvaged.
  • Fixed an issue where no experience points were awarded for defeating Belial.
  • Added various UI, graphics, and audio improvements, as well as changes to improve game stability and performance.

Diablo IV update 3.0.1 is expected to be released on April 27, 2026. A full description of the update is available at the following link.
