Control Released on Smartphones - With Ray Tracing
In recent years, more and more major games have tried to make their way onto mobile devices, but not every such premiere looks convincing. It's one thing to release simpler projects or cloud versions, and quite another to port a full-fledged action game with a heavy atmosphere and effects.
This time, Remedy Entertainment decided to surprise. Control Ultimate Edition is now available on iPhone and iPad for $4.99 – this is a full-fledged release on the App Store, not a streaming version. The developers note that the iOS version is adapted for touchscreens: special controls have been added, the interface has been changed, and elements such as aiming and puzzles have been reworked so that the game works correctly on mobile devices.
The authors claim ray tracing support on compatible devices. This is not just a port of an old version, but an attempt to show that demanding games can also be released on smartphones and tablets in a decent form. The only question is whether players will want to play the atmospheric Control on mobile devices.
